Joining the collection
The Closet Society accepts luxury gowns and occasionwear by application.
All submissions are subject to review, and acceptance is based on garment condition, style, quality, anticipated rental demand, and the needs of the collection.
Accepted pieces must be delivered in the condition required by The Closet Society.
Earnings
Gown owners receive 30% of the base rental price for every completed and paid rental.
The commission is calculated on rental revenue only and excludes cleaning charges, applicable taxes, security deposits, late fees, damage reimbursements, and other administrative charges.
Rental pricing
The Closet Society determines rental pricing based on designer, original retail value, condition, current demand, and comparable pieces within the collection.
Rental prices may be adjusted over time in accordance with the signed consignment agreement.
Ownership
All consigned garments remain the property of their respective owners.
The Closet Society is authorized to photograph, display, market, and rent accepted garments for the duration of the consignment agreement.
Garment care
The Closet Society coordinates garment cleaning, inspection, storage, and rental management throughout the consignment term.
Owners acknowledge that normal wear may occur through responsible rental use.
Damage, loss, and replacement procedures are governed by the signed consignment agreement.
Returning your gown
Owners may request the return of their gown in accordance with the agreed consignment term.
Garments with existing confirmed reservations must remain available through the completion of those bookings unless otherwise agreed.
